Welcome To Mangalore Rescues
Mangalore Rescues is an independent rescue service solely handled by Atul Pai in the city and outskirts of Mangalore. The rescues done by me are only limited to snakes and birds as of now.
India reports approximately 45,000 snake bite death cases every year and rescuing snakes is important to mitigate the fear of human-snake conflict and try to save these creatures by releasing them away from the human habitation into the natural habitat. I do not rescue puppies, cat and kittens because I do not have any shelter. However, I do help people in getting touch with animal organizations who rescue dogs, puppies, cats and kittens.

What We Do?
Reaching out to as many people as possible to educate and keep people aware about snakes. Snakes are taken as a major threat and no one wants to know about them. Being self aware about a few snakes around your surroundings is important and very useful as well.
Rescue
With the mission always in mind, during the rescue it is always our responsibility to educate the people about snakes and the importance and contribution by them in this eco-system. This helps in elimination human-snake conflict.
Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation of every snake in the natural habitat is one of the most important job after a rescue. The snake, once rehabilitated will live on its own, hunt for its own food and defend its predators. Mother nature has a lot for every creature on the planet. Releasing a snake close to the rescue location is very essential for the snake to survive.
